Vertical flight is an integral part of the aviation ecosystem. From HEMS to Oil & Gas, Search & Rescue to VIP Operations and everything in between, Pratt & Whitney Canada – celebrating 1 billion flying hours across its engine fleet – has been at the forefront of delivering Dependable Engines in support of these diverse missions for decades.<\/p>\n

This session will provide a comprehensive look at Pratt & Whitney Canada\u2019s versatile helicopter engine portfolio, which power some of today\u2019s most prolific helicopter and tiltrotor applications, including the PT6 \u2013 the most prevalent and versatile in aviation, celebrating 60 years of excellence and innovation this year; and the PW200 and PW210 including the latest advanced technologies of these engine families. The session will close with a look at what lies ahead for Pratt & Whitney Canada as the world looks towards increasingly sustainable solutions.<\/p>\n

Martin Drolet, M.A.Sc., P.Eng.<\/p>\n

Martin Drolet graduated in engineering (B.A.Sc.) from the University of Ottawa in 2008. He then obtained his master\u2019s degree from \u00c9cole Polytechnique de Montr\u00e9al in 2010 where his research was focused on experimental tests and computational simulations related to compressor aerodynamics and fluid-structure interactions. He has been working for Pratt & Whitney Canada for over 12 years, occupying various functions including experimental engine testing, engine operability, engine performance and more recently project management. He has been involved with the SAE International Aerospace Council for over 5 years and is the current chairman of the SAE S-12 (Powered Lift Propulsion) committee. He is also a member of the Ordre des Ing\u00e9nieurs du Qu\u00e9bec (OIQ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
